Red Rabbit Racing

On a hot and sweaty June 24th, General Charley got us a

HAT TRICK OF WINS!

That's right our General Charley posted his 3rd victory in a row dispatching a field of 9 while never losing the lead. This was General Charley's 50th career start of his phenomenal career and the purse money he earned from this win pushes his lifetime earnings just shy of $500,000!

Like his prior 2 wins at Arlington this summer, he was at the $25,000 claiming level, and many of us were plenty scared that he would get claimed. In fact, Partner Rick couldn't even properly enjoy the race or the win until trainer Chris Block gave the "Safe Sign" after the race signaling to us that no one had claimed him and he was coming back to our barn. Then we all broke into joyous pandemonium!

Now listen to this... With our 3rd win in a row, that makes General Charley the Arlington park Meet Leader for number of wins and total purse. That means of all 1400 horses stabled at Arlington this summer, none has won more and made more than our Charley.

Prime RRR jock Eddie Perez took the call and ran the General perfectly round the 1 and 1/16 mile turf course at Arlington. Carrying high weight of 124 pounds, we went off as the 6-5 favourite and dispatched all of his competition - as usual. There was a multi horse photo for second, but no one needed a camera to determine Charley had won, as he held on by a little over a length at the wire.

Being a Thursday race we didn't have the normal multitude of fans that we are usually blessed with - but as you can see from the winners circle - still a fine bunch. Sadly partners Peggy and Jean could not attend and hope that they will be back in full compliment at our next race - which should be in late July.

WINNING 3 IN A ROW!

WAY TO GO CHRIS AND WAY TO GO CHARLEY.....

PS. Listed below is the note that went out to all Rabbit Followers announcing Charley's latest victory.... If you haven't signed up for our letters go to our home page and subscribe there.....

Worldwide Rabbit Flock,

I am speechless - well almost....

Question: What do you call a 3 year old thoroughbred, racing in the spring, who has won 3 in a row?

Answer: A Triple Crown Winner!

Well Charley ain't 3, but he has won 3 in a row with a majestic win yesterday on the turf at Arlington. Let's call it the Rabbit Crown. Our hero went off as the 6-5 prohibitive favorite and did not disappoint. Like his last 2 races they were wire to wire wins - without a single competitor sticking a nose in front of our Charley. That's the Hat Trick, a Threepeat, the Trifecta, a Threesome.

So when people talk of the greats in this sport, they speak of Citation, Whirlaway, Secretariat, Affirmed and now General Charley - all in the same sentence.

With this 3rd win we now are on top of the Arlington Meet Leaders list. THAT'S RIGHT - ON TOP! Click here to see it. Let's review that because I think the magnitude of this achievement may be lost on many of you. This means that of the 1,400 horses stabled at this entire race track, General Charley has the most wins - and the most money per win - THAN ANY OTHER MULE IN THIS STATE FOR 2010! WOOMBA!

As you can imagine Personal Appearance requests are pouring in for Charley from round the world. As an example, Bono wants to kick off the U2 Tour in Gstaad by galloping onto the stage astride Charley. FIFA has asked if we would be willing to let Charley kick the 1st soccer ball out to open the World Cup Finals Match later next month in South Africa. Playgirl Magazine wants Charley to bare all in a special Thoroughbred Centerfold spread. And in the most bizarre request, famous Equine Hospital Rood & Riddle is asking to perform an experimental testicle re-attachment on our boy in the desperate hope of extending his line. WHAT IDIOT DECIDED TO GELD THIS MAGNIFICENT STEED? YOU FOOL!

Picture below is of our hero leading the pack at the wire. Everybody sure looks like they were running pretty hard to get 2nd place, don’t they? Pending sifting through Charley's personal appearance requests, we plan on sending him out for win number 4 in late July.

Finally, I am proud to say that one of our most ardent Rabbit Fans is none other than Doug Ray, Chairman, Publisher, President & CEO of the greatest newspaper in the US, The Daily Herald. But note to Doug.... You are missing the biggest scoop of your distinguished career. You should have your reporters staking our Charley's stall for the greatest goodwill story of the year. A story like this is a license to print money. Doug you got our number, don't let Sports Illustrated, Look or Time beat you to this Pulitzer worthy story in your own backyard!

How about that Charley! Check out the fun at www.redrabbitracing.org

Good Luck & Good Racing!
