Coco Cabana Breaks her maiden!

Coco is the 3yr old filly bred & owned by good friends Darrell & Sadie Brommer of world renowned Brommer Racing.  Chris Block trains for them as well.   She went off at a juicy 9-1 and I am proud to say I got a piece of that.  This being her 3rd race she wired the field at 6 furlongs on the Polytrack - never headed over the entire distance.

This filly has some heart as she broke from the number 1 stall and got banged by the 2 horse coming out of the gate. The 2 horse had been fractious in the paddock - rearing up in anger several times.  Coco got smacked coming out of the gate, shrugged it off and went to the lead - and never gave it up.

Unfortunately Sadie & Darrell couldn't be there in person, but I hope the pictures make them feel like they were there.  Picture left is jockey Eddie Perez coaxing every last bit our of Coco down the lane.   Picture below is Coco leading the field as they come down the stretch.
